Just a girl and her kicks

Just a girl and her kicks

If you guys know me or follow me on social you will see that I’m always in sneakers. Sneakers have been such a huge part of my life since I could remember. I was the only girl in the household growing up, with a younger brother and an older brother, so I was always around sneakers. Thankfully, my mother never pushed me to be super “girly” instead was always allowing me to express my originality when it came to fashion.

Enough with the sentimental back story, time for the good stuff. I recently received some very special sneakers from #footlocker and decided to debut my sneaker unboxing series on my channel. The #nike Air Max 200 Legend of Her Pack is dedicated to the creator/designer of the infamous Nike Swoosh, Carolyn Davidson. The brand paid homage to Davidson with this sneaker and I couldn’t be any more proud to rock them on my feet. Check out my video below and if you’re not already, be sure to subscribe to my channel!

A Dream Come True…

A Dream Come True…

I’ve always wanted to be a part of a campaign. Not just any campaign, one with a message, one where the products I was modeling meant something. On October 26, I had the opportunity to be in a jewelry campaign for Iris Jewelry called “The only color we see is gold.” The brand stands for unity, love, and diversity and in the studio, I felt just that. Every model there had a unique and diverse look to them and you can feel the love and positivity throughout the entire room. What was even more special was that my good friend Valine was the photographer for this shoot.

Enough talking, check out the photos below and be sure to check out Iris Jewelry online to purchase a few dope pieces.

Finding Inspiration in Lost Files

Finding Inspiration in Lost Files

As a busy young woman, I find that I’m literally spreading my time super thin. Whether it’s with my office job or my hobby, it can be very mentally draining. Sometimes I want to just give up and not push myself so hard, but then I find little things that motivate me and inspire me to keep on keeping on.

I’ve been in a small creative funk lately and today I decided to go through my camera roll in my phone (who else does this when seeking inspo?) to see what catches my eye and help get my creative juices flowing. While scrolling through my album, I came across some shots I took last year of a fashion event for MATCHESFASHION and a photo gallery for a good friend of mine, Valine; a super talented young photographer. I wanted to share those photos with you all, maybe someone else finds inspiration in them also.

How do you guys cope with a creative funk? What do you turn to motivate you?
